Our return to classes is getting closer, so it's time to update you all on how we're ensuring that our classes are going to be operating in the safest way possible.
We just can't wait to get back to doing what we love most!
Please take a look at the attached documents below. They include the venue's one way system, the hirers cleaning schedule and my risk assessment.
I have also completed the 'Prevention of COVID-19 in the workplace' online course.
All measures must be adhered to at all times so please read below information very carefully.
New Measures for Students and Parents:
Unfortunately, there will be no parents allowed to stay during class.
An area has been removed from the car park for social distancing, so there are fewer spaces: you may sometimes have to park on the street.
Use the new one-way system in the Centre: To drop off your child at the door, go round the right side of the building to the new entrance - please see attachment.
Students are to sanitise hands on arrival and departure.
If students feel at all unwell or are showing any COVID-19 symptoms, please do not come to class.
Students must bring their own full water bottle.
Students must be changed into their kit. They cannot get changed in the centre.
Social distancing will be adhered to, therefore we will not be doing any contact or group work.
On cooler days, please bring a jumper as the fire doors will be open for ventilation.
Only one toilet is in use, suitable for all, including the disabled. Access to the toilet from the hall operates on a “one-at-a-time” basis.
After your child’s activity, they must (if over 11) wear a face mask, They must gather up all their things, and leave the building promptly via the front exit, in a socially-distanced manner, sanitising their hands as they leave.
Please wait for your child in your car, or wait inside the barriered area, on a socially-distanced basis. Do not crowd round the exit door.
Other Extra Measures:
Class size limited to 17
The centre will be thoroughly cleaned before and after class - please see attachment.
No equipment will be shared amongst students. Any equipment used will be fully cleaned before the next set of students.
The hall will be well ventilated at all times.
I will have PPE (face mask & gloves) incase of any injuries
Working together, we can get back to our beloved classes and dance friends in the safest way possible. It is of upmost importance to me that all parents and students feel safe in their return to dance classes. The classes may be a little different, but I will be sure to work super hard in order to regain the confidence of students, settle their anxieties and help them to find their way back onto their dance journey.
I can't wait to see you all!
