UP! News: We're Moving Home!

Lace Hill Academy are introducing a Year 6 group to the school and as a result, they will need to use the Main Hall for after-school care for their students. This means that UP! Dance will be moving home. Other suitable spaces in Buckingham are very limited but I have done my best to find new dates and locations that suit as many students as possible.

As of the new term in January 2018, all UP! classes will be moving location with the new days and times as follows:

  • 3-5 : Wednesday | 3:45pm - 4:15pm | £3 : Dance Studio, Swan Pool Leisure Centre

  • 5-7: Thursday | 4:30pm - 5:30pm | £5 : Main Hall, Lace Hill Community Centre (Next door to Lace Hill Academy, previous class location)

  • 8-10: Wednesday | 4:15pm - 5:15pm | £5 : Dance Studio, Swan Pool Leisure Centre

  • 11-13: Wednesday 5:15pm - 6:15pm | £5 : Dance Studio, Swan Pool Leisure Centre

The first classes will begin on the Wednesday 3rd January and continue as normal. The January 2018 term dates are 3rd January - 9th February: 6 weeks in total.

SWAN POOL LEISURE CENTRE INFORMATION

  • Address: London Road, Buckingham MK18 1AE (less than 1 mile from Lace Hill School)

  • Very accessible with a large car park but there is a charge of £1 for a parking ticket. This can be immediately refunded at the Reception desk with a tear off from the printed ticket you will receive. You do not need to pay after 5pm.

  • Children and parents will have to come through turnstiles to get to class which at peak times can be busy so leave some extra time if you can

  • 3-5s Class: This class will no longer be able to run over as the next class now starts immediately after. Please ensure that you are on time for class!

  • Parents are still more than welcome to stay through class or you can grab a coffee and snack in the foyer or even go from a swim & sauna while you wait!

  • The centre is right next to Buckingham Secondary School & The Royal Latin - ideal for our older students who often come to class straight from school.

Overall, this is a very positive change for UP! and I really hope that all students are still able to come to class. Please let me know if you have any questions!
